A Wedding in the Loreto Mission
A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to attend my first wedding in the Loreto Mission. While a wedding in the Mission is not a rare event, I never felt comfortable popping in with my camera and approaching the altar during a ceremony (I figure most Mexicans must describe me to each other as the gringa with a camera!). But this time was the perfect opportunity...the wedding of a friend.
Adriana (and her precious little boy--Adrian, of course!) live right around the corner from my Dad, and they are family of Dad's next-door-neighbors, so automatically our family as wel!. I ran into Adriana the day before her wedding and she invited me to come. I was actually doing a professional photography job at a hotel that night, but I did manage to stopy by and catch most of the ceremony.
What a sight---the gorgeous bride and dashing groom taking their vows in the Mission full of family and friends, with the Virgin of Loreto and all her history and devotion as the backdrop.
Felicidades Adriana y Juan Pablo!
